A Morning Message Feb. 19
Thursday, February 19, 2009
Good Morning,
Cold is the word for the day! Great Wednesday at church, hope you had a great time. The Shack now stands on the church lawn, lots of folks in town buzzing about it. I am off to a meeting in Springfield, then back for a banquet in Rolla this evening. The kids and Mo seem to be doing well, nothing big to bring you up to speed on. Have a great day!
“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves.” James 1:22
Good advice. It is easy to read the Bible, listen to the Bible, and then do nothing with it. The power is when the we allow the word to come alive within us. It is letting it become a guiding force in our life. How do we do that? We do it by taking time to pray when reading and hearing. It is about engaging the author and getting direction from Him. May the word come alive within us all. A message for today!
Yesterday’s question: What substance according to Job could wash a man’s hands squeaky clean? Melted snow Our winner is Peter Walter.
Today’s Question: What pagan king did the prophet Elisha cleanse from leprosy?
