A Morning Message Feb 20
Friday, February 20, 2009
This is the third time I am attempting to send this today. I have lost the message twice (operator error) but I will get this out. A really busy week, lots was accomplished, but I am ready for a weekend. I spent most of the day in Springfield yesterday interviewing candidates for ministry. We have so awesome folks out there, God is blessing us. The weekend looks cold, but again filled with lots to do. Enjoy, I hope to see you Sunday.
“You must understand this my beloved: let everyone be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger;” James 1:19
My friends that is good advice. Slow down, listen, then put your brain in gear before you mouth. How many times have you jumped in not really hearing what was said and not really thinking about what you were saying? James realizes we need to listen more attentively. We often spend more time thinking about what to say than we do on listening to what is being said. Slow to anger, always a good idea. Anger is slow to make resolution to the problem anyway. A message for today!
Yesterday’s question: What pagan king did the prophet Elisha cleanse from leprosy? Naaman Our winner is Peter Walter.
Today’s Question: Who cleansed ten lepers but received a thank you from only one of them?
