To Those Interested in SUMC becoming a Disaster Emergency Shelter:

Training has been scheduled to be provided by a representative of the Red Cross on Saturday, June 27 from 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.  A light lunch will be provided.

This training is to provide information on the requirements, benefits, supports available, for those wishing to become a Disaster Emergency Shelter and/or to serve

as a volunteer at a shelter.  This training will provide information on Red Cross shelter guidelines as well as provide opportunity to experience some possible scenarios

that one might encounter when working at a shelter. 

You are asked to attend this meeting if at all possible.  Thanks for your interest in helping SUMC reach out to our community should there be a local disaster.
