A Morning Message June 24, 2009
Wednesday, June 24, 2009
Good Morning! If you thought it was hot yesterday, will hang on! I have a guy coming to get a stump from my yard today, so I had to saw some yesterday. It was not a good logging day. We took Mo for a walk last night, I thought his little tongue would fall out of his mouth. Anyway, get lots of water today and stay cool out there.
If anyone is going to Springfield in the next few days would you be willing to drop some stuff at the District Office for Dixie? Call 729-4551 Thanks.
“And the Lord was sorry that he had made humankind on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart.” Genesis 6:6
This breaks my heart. The Lord was sorry that there was humankind. I suppose I can understand this, we were such a disappointment to God. We were created good, God has all these wonderful expectations and then we simply go from bad to worse. However, I am uplifted that God doesn’t give up on us. Disappointment gives way to love and grace. God never gives up on us. There is much to be learned from this. Even in a situation that is heartbreaking there can come redemption. Indeed God never gives up on us. What are we willing to do to return that love and grace? A message for today!
Yesterday’s question: What strongman was ordained before birth to deliver Israel from the Philistines? Samson Robert Soucy is our winner today!
Today’s question: What barley farmer married a Moabite woman and became an ancestor of David?
