A Morning Message July 1, 2009
Wednesday, July 1, 2009
Good Morning! What a beautiful morning! Carol and I went to Sybils for dinner last night to celebrate 29 together, we were delayed a bit from our original Sunday plan. It was a great evening of food and being together. Mo was not happy to be excluded, but so it goes. Jimmy has a great meal planned for tonight, hope to see many of you here. We have been having a great midweek turnout all summer. Enjoy a cooler day!
Please keep Carole Bierbower in your prayers, her sister Mary Jacobs has had a stoke.
“I have set my bow in the clouds, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.” Genesis 9:13
What a wonderful sign of the covenant! There are some things in this world that are universal and a rainbow is one of them. I have been blessed to see rainbows from here to Africa and back. I am reminded every time I see one of the promise of God. Certainly I remember this promise from Genesis, but it is so much more. It is every promise that God makes. It is an assurance that God’s word is always true and there are things in this world we can always count on. May we always cling to the promise of God. A message for today!
Yesterday’s question: What warriors were so extravagant that even their camels wore necklaces? The Midianites No winner today!
Today’s question: What prophet claimed that Edom, Moab Ammon, and Tyre all had sorcerers?
