Thursday, August 25th, 2009
Good Morning! It is another gorgeous day. It is however a bit humid, my morning run seemed to take more energy. Carol is off to Columbia to share some girl time with Jess. I have been trying to get the boys to Salem, time will tell. Mark is coming home Saturday, it will be good to see him. Do you realize net week September arrives? Hmm. Have a great day!
Please keep Brock Summers family in your prayers, Brock’s stepgrandfather passed away last night. Brock is to be wed to Jenny Carmier this Saturday evening.
“Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the Lord:” Exodus 15:1
Singing has long be associated with worship. God has delivered Israel and we hear in Exodus 15 this wonderful song. We sing the hymns from the hymnal and they recount the blessing of God for another time. Today in contemporary worship we sing songs that also reflect the deliverance of our God. Is the tune important? Are the words important? I suppose they matter, but clearly the issue is our worship and praise of God. A message for today!
Yesterday’s question: What miraculous food melted in the heat of the sun? Manna Barb Davis is our winner today.
Today’s question: Who warned Israel about worshipping the moon, the stars, and the sun?
