A Morning Message February 1, 2010
Monday, February 1st, 2010
Good Morning! If you noticed that you didn’t receive a message last week it was because Carol and I took a little trip. We spent last week in the Cayman Islands with Carol’s cousins, it was wonderful. Sun, surf, and a great chance to read. I missed you all and certainly am glad to be back, but time away is a good thing. I love the snow of course, but what a shock to the system. Running today was very different from last week. Anyway, glad to be back. Have a great day!
Jenny had the babies and we hope they come home this week!
“Whoever is fearful and trembling, let him return home.” Judges 7:3
What would we have done? Gideon faces terrible odds, yet God assured Gideon victory. We are with Gideon, do we trust Gideon? Do we believe Gideon has a word from God? How would we know? A couple of things come to mind. Have we prayed about what is about to happen? Do we trust Gideon has a relationship with God. We face these question in the service of God. What do we do? Do we turn away or do we follow. A thought for today.
Yesterday’s question: Who was the first of Israel’s judges? Othniel Barb Davis is our winner today.
Today’s question: Who was the first shepherd?
