A Morning Message March 8, 2010
Monday, March 8th, 2010
Good Morning! What a great weekend! Mizzou lost, but in reflection it has been a much better season that expected and we are headed to the big dance. Go Tigers! It was great to spend the weekend with Pete, we had a Walk to Emmaus meeting in St. Louis, so a road trip on Saturday. The dogs were wild, but Mo really slept last night. Have a great week, and have a great day!
“The hand of the Lord was heavy upon the people of Ashdod, and he terrified and struck them with tumors, both in Ashdod and it its territory.” Samuel 5:6
The Philistines captured the Ark and put it in their temple. The idol they worship has been decapitated by God and now a toll is being extracted from the Philistine people for their actions against God. The Ark in the hands of God’s faithful is powerful, in the hands of God’s enemies has serious consequences. Even then the people wanted to believe the power of God could be reduced to a formula. Relationship with the living God has always been the key to our faith. Just a thought for today.
