“Samuel said to Saul, ‘The Lord sent me to anoint you king over his people Israel; now therefore listen to the words of the Lord.’” 1 Samuel 15:1
Saul is king, but being king doesn’t give you the ultimate authority, that comes from the one that gives it. Samuel reminds Saul that he is king because God told Samuel to anoint him king. Now he instructs Saul to listen to a word from God. Power can be used for good or evil. God wants Saul to do His will and use the power for good. Shall it be? Do we? Just a thought for today.
