A Morning Message August 13, 2010

Friday, August 13th, 2010

Good Morning! I feel like I am on top of the jetlag today, but I must confess yesterday was pretty foggy.  I am thankful to Natalie and Dixie for keeping me headed in the right direction yesterday.  Today we celebrate the life of Milt Bradley, visitation from 10:30 to 12:00 and the service at 12:00.  Both will take place here at church.  A dinner for family and out of town guests will follow.  We get Mo back tomorrow, Pete is bringing him.  It will be great to see them both.  Hope to see many of you Sunday, I will share a bit about our trip.  Be safe, it will be hot out there today!  God bless you all.

“David and all Israel were dancing before God with all their might, with song and lyres and harps and tambourines and cymbals and trumpets.”  1 Chronicles 13:8

David is bringing the Ark of the Covenant back.  Wouldn’t you just love to be there?  The music, the dancing!  Wow!  A celebration.  In Africa worship has that kind of flair.  They don’t have a pipe organ or a piano, they don’t even have harps or trumpets,  but with percussion and song they worship.  That my friends is passionate worship!  I just love passionate worship.  What can we do to step up the passion each Sunday!   Just a thought for today.

Yesterday’s question: Which apostle wrote, “Let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth?”  John  Sarah Huff is our winner today!

Today’s question: Who called the tongue “a fire, a world of inequity”?
