A Morning Message August 16, 2010
Monday, August 16th, 2010
Good Morning! What a great day we had in worship yesterday! God is good! Pete brought Mo home Saturday, great to see Pete and wonderful to have Mo back home. We also have Mark’s dog Yoko, however we are desperately looking for a good home for her. If you know of anyone interested in a great family dog send them my way. Yoko is a bigger dog, the country would be perfect for her. Please help me out here if you can. Looks to be a cooler day, my run this morning was awesome! God bless you all.
“The ark of God remained with the household of Obed-edom in house three months, and the Lord blessed the household of Obed-edom and all that he had.” 1 Chronicles 13:14
David is bringing the Ark of the Covenant back and something happens. The Ark is touched, something God prohibited and it causes the death of one of David’s men. David is angry, but also afraid of God. He takes the ark to be with Obed-edom rather than bring the Ark into the city. David has much to learn. Clearly the blessing of God is with the Ark. Trusting God and obeying God are key to blessing. Just a thought for today.
Yesterday’s question: Who called the tongue “a fire, a world of inequity”? James Barb Davis is our winner today!
Today’s question: Following Paul’s advice to Timothy, what type of men should not be “doubletongued”?
