A Morning Message August 18, 2010
Wednesday, August 18th, 2010
Good Morning! We have reached midweek. Looks like the cooler weather is over and the heat is coming back. I think we may have found a home for Yoko, keep her in your prayers. This has been tough, Mark really loves this dog. Busy night last night at church, lots of good stuff going on. Hope to see many of you tonight, always a great meal! Enjoy this day and may God bless you all.
“He appointed certain of the Levites as ministers before the ark of the Lord, to invoke, to thank, and to praise the Lord, the God of Israel.” 1 Chronicles 16:4
The Ark of the Lord, a sign of the presence of God. David wants to assure God that the people recognize and worship God. The Ark is God’s presence, but we have to do more than be in the presence, we must recognize the presence. We must open ourselves to God and praise God. I pray we can always invoke, thank, and praise God, for God is with us always. Just a thought for today.
Yesterday’s question: According to Paul, when a person speaks with the gift of tongues, who is he speaking to? God Barb Davis is our winner today!
Today’s question: What prophet proclaimed, ‘The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned’?
