A Morning Message August 24, 2010
Good Morning! What a beautiful morning! It is fun to run when the temp and humidity as so pleasant. Good Board Meeting last night, this church is blessed with Great Godly leaders. Just a heads up, we will not have a 5th Sunday dinner this Sunday. Hope your Labor Day plans are coming together. Don’t forget this Friday kicks off another year of Salem Tigers Football. Have a great day. May God be with and bless us all.
“There is no one like you, O Lord, and there is no God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.” 1 Chronicles 17:20
What a great way to start the day. There is no one like you O Lord! That is an understatement, but then again, we sometimes overlook that which is right in front of us. I was talking with someone last night and they pointed out that we sometimes overlook our most valuable asset. So true. We work very hard for the Kingdom without spending time with the King. When our focus is God, all things seem to work for good. Just a thought for today.
Yesterday’s question: According to the book of Job, the wicked man will be slain by what animal’s tongue? A viper Pete Walter is our winner today!
Today’s question: What New Testament author uses the symbol of a ship’s rudder to describe the power of the human tongue?
