A Morning Message August 3, 2010
Good Morning! Big storms last night, but a beautiful morning this morning. Ken and I got 5 miles in and it was almost chilly. (maybe only the first 400 meters) The Big Labor Day Weekend is upon us. I am pumped to watch the Tigers play tomorrow, hope I am as excited by tomorrow evening. KC got a win last night, first of the year. Salem is on the road tonight, Houston. Go Tigers! Enjoy the blessings, may God be with us all.
“And you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve him with single mind and willing heart; for the Lord searches every mind, and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will abandon you forever.’” 1 Chronicles 28:9
I love this verse. I especially love the part that says if we seek God, God will be found by us. That is powerful! How many times have we asked where God is? The answer should be to ask if they have sought God. Seeking God is key. God isn’t hiding, we are not looking. We have not because we ask not. We find not because we seek not. If you haven’t seen God in awhile, maybe you should go looking. Just a thought for today.
